Not Forgotton 2020 1

Those Not Forgotten Years.

A National Concert Tour organised by the Not Forgotten Association in their Centenary Year.

Founded in 1920 by soprano Marta Cunningham as she brought music and entertainment to Soldiers and Servicemen injured in the 1st World War, how wonderful that The Not Forgotten Association continues this wonderful tradition and, despite restrictions, have organised a 7 week socially distanced Tour in the grounds of care homes throughout the Country.

It has been a joy and a privilege to be part of that team, and to have had the pleasure of entertaining so many lovely people, many of them veterans who have been in isolation for many months, cut off from family and friends; but happily they have sung, danced, laughed and cried with us..  it has been so moving, and an experience I will never forget.

From Scotland to Cornwall, and everywhere in between, it has been a privilege and a joy to share the happiness that is being spread, the power of music is truly amazing and never has it been needed more than now.

How privileged are we as entertainers to share that happiness….

rust hallThey joined Linda in a rousing, flag waving, patriotic celebration of music and memories….. Rule Britannia, Jerusalem and Land of Hope and Glory.

She took them on a heart warming trip down Memory Lane with unforgettable songs from the 1940s, songs that had inspired a generation, rekindling memories of days gone by when they shared a great spirit of comradeship, with a good old sing song…

“Dear Linda,
Thank you so very much for a fabulous, patriotic display on Saturday for our event.
The feedback exceeded all expectations”
